Construction technics applied to civil architecture in tarakli and sadik ozen house restoration proposal

Till the existance of mankind, human beings found various constructional solutions, for their shelter problem. With time, mankind advanced in residental architecture, using the technologfy of their time, and the materials of the environment.Anatolian land has known as the oldest settlement in the world. It holds various residental architectural works in its contexture. Wood, in Anatolian residental architecture is indespensable throughout the history, and still conserves its validity in the present time. Woodwork is intensively used in areas of greenwood areas.West Black Sea architecture holds appealing art crafts of woodwork. Taraklı, in Sakarya province, is an example for this context, but not known as much as Safranbolu or Goynuk. The traditional architectural buildings in Taraklı are preserved without any corruption till today.In analysis made in Taraklı, districts architectural specialities have been determined. During the studies, 417 traditional buildings have been appointed, and determined by photographs, 326 traditional buildings are conserved in their original occasion. Measured drawings of 10 buildings have been made, and examined in building system and materials angle. This work studies Taraklı?s traditional civil architecture technology. Yusufbey District have been chosen as a sub zone, and inventory of 20 buildings have been made. Furthermore, the actual silhouettes of Turbe Street and Kadılar Street have been digitally drawn.Sadık Ozen House, one example of Taraklı?s traditional architecture, has been analysed in damage condition, and documentaions have been made by architectural drawings, writings and photographs. The restitution propositions have been made by, tracing the original situation of the building, and interviews with the house holders.Transferring Taraklı?s traditional architectural histo to oncoming generations can be made by, preserving its natural identity and, consciousness in community and puplic foundations. In this matter, Atelier of Taraklı Restoration Educaiton Center, founded by Taraklı Municipality and Turkish Federation Foundation, is an exemplary administration for Taraklı, and districts in similiar conditions to live and preserve the old achievements.
