Târîh-i Üngürüs notes-text-translating into Turkey Turkish-facsimile (1b-106a)

Târîh-i Üngürüs; written by Tercüman Mahmud, who witnessed many historical events while working as a translator in the Ottoman Empire in the 16th-century, it is an important work that sheds light on Hungarian history and was written in plain Turkish for its period. In this study, the translation of the 1b-106a chapters of the work was made, the work was translated into modern Turkish, and during this transfer, noteworthy issues were transferred as notes in order to reveal the richness of the Turkish language and to contribute to research in this context. The study aims to provide the scientific translation of Târîh-i Üngürüs into Turkish language of Türkiye and to ensure that the work reaches a wider readership, to reveal the rich linguistic material in the work and to contribute to the achievement of the true value of the work. This study consists of three main parts. In the First Chapter, the study was introduced and then information was given about the purpose, method and scope of the study. Information was given about Târîh-i Üngürüs, Studies on Târîh-i Üngürüs, Tercümân Mahmûd and György Hazai, who introduced this work to the Turkish world, and writing definition has been made. In the second Part, the translation of the written text of the work was created, transferred to modern Turkish, and then a facsimile edition was given. Notes section in Chapter there; It was examined under five headings: words with multiple spellings reading differences, spelling, archaic words, and meaning changes. Finally, the general conclusions obtained based on the findings of the research and the bibliography of the sources used in the study were included and the study was completed by adding the facsimile.
