Abstract (EN)

This study aims to explain how web based teaching material, which includes primary sources of archival documents, is used in teaching history and to evaluate the material in line with teachers' opinions. The study is conducted through mixed methods research. Mixed methods research is defined as the research in which the researcher utilizes qualitative and quantitative research methods within one single study. Thus, qualitative data and quantitative data are collected and analyzed individually, and findings of both data are concluded. The study includes activities for teaching history through web based teaching material. 54 history teachers used these activities at their classes and their attitudes towards internet were evaluated through analysis of variance (one way ANOVA.) Additionally, the web design prepared was evaluated through Web Site Usability Scale that was included in the same survey. We attempted collecting data regarding the activities prepared, through open-ended questions. Within this framework, the usability of the web site was rated as
