The effect on multiperspectivity of using newspaper at history teaching

History is a basic lesson that prepares people for future, makes them parts of the life by teaching their past. In history lesson, various tools are the tools that form efficient teaching enriching education environment. In this sense, journals are among the most important tools to be used in History classes in terms of current daily life affairs, making people face with daily life problems, being up-to-date and cheap.Goal of this survey specify the affects of journal use?s providing various perspectives to students in History classes. Quantitive datas of the survey are gathered according to ?pretest-posttest model?; and qualitative ones are gathered semi-structured interview technique.Personal information form to solve survey problems, attitude scale used in social studies lesson, success tests to measure students? academic development, materials, journals were used.While calculating qualitative statistics of the survey SPSS programme was used. After gathering pretest and posttest points of the experiment group, average point and Standard deviation was calculated. T tests were used for intergroup comparisons. 0.5 extents were stated as a meaningfulness point.After the survey, a difference is revealed in favor of experiment group between the perspectives and attitudes to the lecture of students in experiment group and in traditional approach is exposed to. Giving education for students in experiment group by using journal in history class it?s seen that attitudes of the students are in positive way. Many of the students asked say that reading journal increases reading and understanding the text skills and almost all of them say that they learn the subject more easily and relate the lesson with daily lives and develop their investigation skills. All of the students participated in conversation stated that they liked the lesson with journals, and almost all of them state that they did not face with problems in using journal.
