In this study, the Iraq?s education system since the Ottoman Empire has been examined according to structural types, school types and educational purposes. In addition, the Iraq National Education system and the general principles set out in regulations. In this context, the education system in Iraq during the Ottoman period and the first Ottoman madrasa system are explained in detail the types and transferred to the madrasa. Then, during the Royal period and the Baath period, the Iraq education system changes and regulations were investigated by means of various statistics and comparisons. Finally, in 2003 the education system in Iraq after the invasion of Iraq the situation has been demonstrated in the war, occupation, and the mess affects the education system are evaluated. According to the evaluations, the Iraq education system, was declined continiously and especially Beginning of the 20th century which has one of the world's most high-quality education systems and after the Iraq regime change in 2003 the education system was dropped as the reports of international organizations such as UNESCO, to support the negative situation reveals.Keywords: Iraq Education System, UNESCO, The Baath Regime, Iraq Occupation, The Madrasa System.
