The evaluation of deteriorations and cleaning methods on historical stone structures on the example of İstanbul University Faculty of Letters from southern external facade

This study was created within the scope of the investigation of the deterioration and cleaning methods seen in the historical stone structures and the evaluation of the Istanbul University Faculty of Letters southern external facade. Within the scope of the study, deteriorations and cleaning methods on the Istanbul University Faculty of Letters on Southern External Facade were identified and investigated with a design language that reflects II. National Architectural Movement designed by Sedat Hakkı Eldem and Emin Onat. The factors that cause deterioration in the structure were determined by various analysis methods and the cleaning suggestions were compared and evaluated. This general study on Istanbul University Faculty of Letters, which is one of the important structures in the history of architecture, will provide data in terms of research and evaluation of deterioration factors and cleaning methods that may occur in historical stone structures.
