Abstract (EN)
The aim of herein thesis is to quantify material properties of historical structures that will be used for dynamic analysis by forming a new procedure considering the related studies in the literature. The material properties is being used in dynamic analysis of historical structures. The thesis consists of five parts. First part focuses on literature review about determining the dynamic characteristics and materials of historical structures. Second part provides information about load bearing systems materials of existing historical structures. Third part concentrates on the structural and historical details of the considered buildings, as well as determinate their material properties. Within the consideration of the material properties, the theoretical modal analyses are conducted; afterwards the experimental dynamic characteristics were determined in part four. Then, theoretical and experimental data was studied to evaluate the accuracy of recommended method. The model was subjected to the ground acceleration of 1992 Erzincan earthquake and then earthquake behavior of the models were studied. Final part gives the results and recommendations based on the data obtained from study. At the end of the study, it is concluded that the proposed method can be used to determine the dynamic behavior of the mosque, madrasah type historical structures. Key Words: Masonry structure, Yakutiye Madrasah, Lala Mustafa Pasha Mosque, operational modal analyses, materials properties
