Abstract (EN)

In thıs research the role of agricultural development cooperatives at marketing agriculcural products in Canakkale are examined. The findings are derived from the Survey made with 74 cooperative managers in in Ayvacık, Bayramic, Biga, Can, Eceabat, Ezine, Gelibolu, Lapseki, Merkez, Yenice. In the study, findings about cooperatives and cooperative managers are mentioned and marketing activites of cooperatives according to study fields are interpreted.In the study, it is determined that cooperatives act in marketing channel in a way but they do not interfere making of price. It is found that price in cooperatives working in milk sector, is determined through upper association. It is also determined that price in olive and fruit growing cooperative is made mostly made by the individual efforts of the producers. Cooperatives of forest products do not act actively in marketing channel. According to these findings, it is determined that cooperatives are not active in product marketing; and both cooperative trading system, marketing education and professionalization on cooperative trading system are necessary.
