Abstract (EN)
The aim of this study, is to evaluate the quarries, one of the types of open pit mining sites, within the scope of regaining to nature. Within this context; Uğural Construction Tourism Petroleum Industry and Trade Inc. Limestone quarry located in the village of Kıbrıs Köyü in Mamak district of Ankara province was selected as the research area. In parallel with the aim of the research, data about the research area were collected and soil samples were taken from the study area in order to form a basis for the proposed landscape design project and laboratory studies were conducted for the analysis of the samples taken. In line with the findings of the study, suggestions were made for regaining the study area to nature and a land use decision was developed. A proposed landscape design project and visual models were prepared for the designated areas selected in accordance with the created natural and cultural landscape values maps, the analyzes, the planning approach and the land characteristics.
