Abstract (EN)

The design creation process begins with a research method and continues with the product containing all the creative processes that can take place during the emergence phase. Therefore, creativity, as in all production areas, allows the product to be distinguished from others in textile and knitted fabric design. In this way, it becomes an indispensable element that meets the more interests and needs of the users. The production of knitted fabrics in the field of textiles is increasing over the years. Knitted fabrics; their characteristics such as having a good elasticity, good air permeability, light, soft, voluminous and cast surface have made these fabrics more preferable. However, the emergence of innovative products along with the developing technology has allowed for increased diversity and more production in knitted fabric design. Graphene, which has been effective in many fields especially recently, comes across as an innovative product in knitted fabric design. As this product is used in many areas, it is possible to use it by taking advantage of creativity in the field of design. Therefore, the methods used in the designs should vary. Within the scope of this thesis study, the necessary researches were first carried out for knitted fabric design and as a result of this research, the conductivity feature of graphene yarn was emphasized. In the study, design diversification methods were used to reveal the effect of graphene yarn on knitted fabric. These methods are divided into four main groups: gold ratio design, biomimicri design, fractal geometry design and algorithmic design. As a result of the study, the themes of bellonging to four methods were determined and a total of twelve designs were made, three of each method. The desing were animated with simulations an done of them was turned into a product and was included in the catolug of a knitted fabric company.
