Abstract (EN)
In our thesis with the title ?The Influence of Self Maturation Process on Character in terms of Tassawwuf Psychology? concepts of self, heart and soul which are the cornerstones of man?s iner world are examined through a sufist-psychological point of view, and the relation of these elements among eachother are tried to be explained.Staying loyal to he heptamerous self degrees of the Halveti-Cerrahi tradition, the character of the self which is through the maturation process in each stage. In order to express the consciousness of the self expanding during the maturation journey more apparently diagrams in Frager?s book Heart Self Soul are used.Psychological aspect of Sufist practices such as riyazet, khalwah and dhikr which sufism uses in order to discipline self and convey it to a mature character are accentuated and the influence of role-model figure who has completed maturation process on the disciple is explained.Besides, in the introduction section of our thesis history of Psychology and Religious Psychology is summarized briefly and information about the history of Religious Psychology and Tasawwuf Psychology in our country is given.
