The Majmua of Sufi Epistles [Dib 81023] (Examination-text-dictionary)

This study, which is designed to better understand the sufism which is one of the elements that constitutes the intellectual infrastructure of divan poetry, İslamic monastery (tekke) and sufi poetry, is conducted to know the literary pleasure and mentality of the period as a result of the examination of the poems in the Majmua of Sufi Epistles (Tasavvuf Risâleleri Mecmû'ası) registered in DİB 81023 to follow the development process of the Turkish language based on the language and stylistic characteristics of the majmua, and to examine the influence of sects on Turkish literature. The study consists of three parts: In the first part, the contents of 23 tracts of different authors in the Majmua of Sufi Epistles, which touches on different aspects of sufism, are summarized and the majmua is generally was analyzed in terms of language and style. In addition, six long book of ethics (pendname), two of which are independent, four of which are in prosaic tracts, as well as verse fragments interspersed in the text and 44 anectodes (menkıbe) were evaluated in terms of content and language. With this both in the majmua and using different sources, information was given about the prophets, companions and successors whose lives and ideas were considered sufic, their position in sufism, their influence on sects, and the suggestion of dhikr attributed to them. In this section, sufism is divided into four periods: the zuhd period, the systematic sufism period, the philosophical sufism period and the sects period, and the lives of prominent sufis in these periods, the group they belong to, their mashreps, their sufic views and the innovations they bring to sufism are examined. In addition, the sects included in the majmua were evaluated in history, procedures and eras of their founders; poets of the sect were identified by comparing and scanning different sources and providing information about the contribution of sects to Turkish literature. In the second part, the transcribed text of the work that constitutes the basis of the study is included. In the third part, in order for the reader to better understand the transcribed text, a dictionary of sufi terms which are used in the majmua is prepared by using different dictionaries and basic sources of sufism. Finally, an evaluation was made on the basis of the information and findings obtained from the study. Keywords: Majmua, Sufism, dream interpretation book, book of ethics, Sects.
