Taşlıcalı Yahya Bey and his hamse

In the introduction part of this study named as Taşlıcalı Yahya Bey and His Hamse, general information about concepts like mesnevi and hamse is provided, the life of the poet and literary personality have been introduced. In the analysis part, mesnevis of Şâh u Gedâ, Gencîne-i Râz, Yûsuf ve Zelîhâ, Kitâb-ı Usûl and Gülşen-i Envâr which take part in Hamse have been evaluated independently. While this assessment has been done, primarily this mesnevi's copies which are in domestic and abroad libraries have been made firm; after analyzing the work in terms of form, content, language and style, the narrative structure of this mesnevi has been examined. Mesnevi has been introduced in analysis of form; information about sections of work, meter and rhyme are given. In content analysis, prominent themes have been identified and these issues have been evaluated under different headings. While language and style have been investigated, prominent language and narration characteristics of work have been examined. Examining the narrative structure of the mesnevi has been given; the work has been analyzed from the points of its characters, plot, space, time, perspective and narrator.
