Abstract (EN)

International Conference and World Health Organization have called for giving up usage of all kind of asbestos due to adverse effect on human and environment. Furthermore using and producing of brake lining made from asbestos is prohibited. For this reason, there are lots of commercial and academic work in literature related to developing brake lining without asbestos. It is common that you may easily encounter material ingredient, production, cost, braking performance and mechanic feature in literature. In developing word, working condition of motor vehicles is also getting harder together with technology. Because of that reason, during braking; amount of fading energy for per unit on brake lining surface increases, and working temperature exceeds the border of component due to diminishing brake surface. Under this circumstances, without exceeding security line of brake system, by providing enough comfort, it needs suitable brake lining design with regard to vehicle type, loading, as well as terms of use. In this thesis, by changing particles' dimension of packing and friction materials which are used with pulverized Alumina (50 µm, 75 µm and 125 µm) and Cashew (50 µm, 75 µm and 125µm), mixing metal and braking performance of sample which is attained production process encompassing non-metal materials, pre-shaping and hot pressing, as well as mechanical and Tribolojik features are examined. For attained samples, the best parameters has been retained as a lining materials.
