Abstract (EN)
Tatarlı Mound is located to the eastest of the Ceyhan plain which is in Adana. Tatarlı Mound is in Tatarlı neighborhood which is in the north about 5 kilometres of Mustafabeyli neighborhood which is in the east about 35 kilometers of Ceyhan district. Tatarlı Mound excavations have continued since 2007 under the chairmanship of Assoc. Prof. K. Serdar Girginer. Until this study, it was not possible to draw a settlement scheme belongs to Hellenistic Period. However, in all areas studied of the mound finds points of view belongs to the Hellenistic Period. In Plains Cilicia are too limited the Hellenistic architectural remains. This is mainly because during the Roman Empire founded on Hellenistic cities such as cities of Anazarbos, Kastabala, Mopsuestia, Aigeai is destroyed to the Hellenistic Period. Other than that, a lot of destruction in the area model and the number of excavations make difficult the monitoring of the Hellenistic architecture. However, in surveys studies made encountered lots of red slip ware of the Hellenistic period shows that in plains Cilicia Hellenistic settlement are also out of the central cities. Within the scape of this thesis in Tatarlı Mound uncovered the Hellenistic architectural remains is intentended to a locale-specific quality and understanding that removing the identification and placement of its architectural scheme. This work will shed light to the workers who works specifically the architecture of Hellenistic Period in Cilicia Region. Tatarlı Mound is used in Hellenistic architecture and protected materyals vast majority form basalt stones brought approximately 750 meters north east of village Üçtepeler of volcano cone. Taken this stones examples and Taken the stones remeved during the archaeological studies compared. The samples were examined by XRF and petrographic analysis methods. According to the information obtained, more accurate results were optained ragarding the determination of the raw material and the structure of the material used.
