Understanding of Tayyib Et-Tîzînî's Qur'an and ta'wil (Interpretation)

This study examines the Qur'an and ta'wils (interpretation) of the Syrian philosopher and the well-known Tayyib al-Tîzînî and consists of introduction, conclusion and three parts. In the introduction, the subject of there search, purpose, method and resources are explained. The first part deals with the formation and influence of Tîzîni's life, works, thought structure. In the second part, Tîzînî's thought structure was examined his view of innovation in Islamic thought, the emphasis on Arab and Islamic civilization, the perception of state of ignorance, the intellectual structure of Islam's society, the transition from revolution mentality to Renaissance thought and political life view in Syria were examined. In the third part, the Qur'an and the perception of the interpretation are examined into his works on the progressive aspect of the Qur'an, the Qur'an's cem (gather in and reproduction of pages) and view to the scientific tafsir/commentary, and his views on the basic features of the Qur'anic text.
