Development of custom oral care and cosmetic productsusing medical and aromatic plants

Oral health comes first among people's daily care. When it comes to oral health, brushing teeth is the main building block of it. Looking at brushing teeth is seen as a physical cleaning process. Thanks to the cleaning process, it is aimed to protect against dental caries, eliminate bad breath, preserve gingival sensitivity and see the tooth structure as white. For these purposes, auxiliary agents and various active substances are generally used for cleaning. However, some of these active ingredients contain significant health risks. In our study, we used medicinal plant extracts that would not affect the health of the dental structure instead of hazardous group chemicals. Considering the results, long-term microbiological reproduction was prevented by adding only sodium bicarbonate and a very low degree of potassium sorbate.
