Abstract (EN)

With the increased value of human health and the growing population, it has become possible to develop in the health sector in the context of current technology. The standardization of medical devices, which was initiated by the United States, was carried out by linking to various legislation. Then, in other countries, they changed their legislation and passed the standardization of medical devices. Today, the US and EU countries are engaged in many R & D activities in the name of the development of medical devices. In the competitive environment that emerges with globalization, countries are investing heavily in order to produce products that have more functional, technological features for medical devices and appeal to customers. Turkey has emerged as one of the countries showing improvements in the medical device industry. Turkey is importing the majority of the medical device requirements. However, some products are produced and exported. In Turkey, working for the medical device industry has increased in recent years, and the state offers financial support in this regard. In this study, the status of the medical device industry, market capacity, import and export rates of countries were included. The foreign trade problems and solutions that countries have implemented for medical devices have been discussed. Turkey's development in the field of health has been mentioned with the need for medical devices and the elimination of those needs. The importance of medical devices all over the world is emphasized.
