The change in tajweed topics over time and their effect on the present (In the context of the works al-Ri´âyah and Juhd al-Muqill)

Quran education has been considered an important issue in every era. This education, which began during the lifetime of the Prophet Mohammed(pbuh), has been shaped within the framework of various methods and studies until today. There are significant number of studies within the science of 'Tajweed', which is one of the cornerstones of Quran education. In these studies, it is sometimes seen that different application methods have emerged by the contribution of different approaches and scientific developments. Tajweed education in Türkiye has become more concise compared to previous periods, especially during the transition period to the new Republic. In order to investigate the reasons behind this change, a comparative study was conducted between the literatures called "al-Ri'ayah" written by Mekki b. Ebi Talib, who has an important role in the science of tajweed, and the another one called "Cühdü'l-mukıll" written by Saçaklızâde Mehmed Mar'aşî from the last period of Ottoman Empire, together with their effects on today's tajweed education and on the literature related to tajweed. Because knowing the basic information about this education is highly important in order to understand the formation process of tajweed education that currently exists in our country.
