Supply chain management and an application

ABSTRACT Today, Supply Chain Management has received considerable attention from Marketing and Operation Management scholars specifically. Information sharing and supply chain integration will minimize the risks caused by uncertainty. Supply Chain Management provides effective structure in the network of between suppliers, manufacturers, customers and other systems. In the first part, Supply Chain literature introduced. In this part, supplier selection an important function of suplly chain management is a multi-criteria problem. Second part of this study focused on Supply Chain Management concepts. In addition to, at the end of second part, some important practises has been referenced. In the third part, data of interview represented. This study aims to evaluate the advantages of applying a supply chain management. In the study, Migros Turk AS. one of the leader firms in retailing sector was choosen for application. Migros Turk AS. aims to manage the supply chain efficiently. In respect of interview results, Migros Turk A.S. has competition advantages of sharing information with suppliers.
