Determination of blockchain usage criterias and weighting with the AHP method in supply chain management

The globalization of supply chains complicates the management and control of business processes. Distributed blockchain technology shows promise for easing some global supply chain management problems by using digital ledger technology that provides transparency, traceability and security. This research examines blockchain technology and its usage criterias in supply chain management with a potential application. Blockchain technology, which can be defined as a one-to-one sharing system of digital data encrypted in blocks with distributed records and protocols, and which lies in the background of Bitcoin, has caused a complete technological revolution by integrating with almost all industry areas since its emergence in 2008. In the research, the usage criteria of the blockchain were determined, examined and evaluated within the scope of supply chain management. The usage areas of blockchain technology in supply chain are increasing day by day and the interest of supply chain participants in this field is increasing. For this, a detailed examination of the relationship between the two situations serves as a roadmap for future studies and usability.
