A model suggestion for supplier selection: Application of tractor factory

Supplier selection and setting order quantity in case working with more than one supplier are very important. In this study, a model is suggested which sets order quantities from suppliers. AHP is used to give weights to the criteria and the alternatives. This method is chosen because there is no connection between the criterias. Todays intense competitive environment forces firms to move faster. In this study, a model is suggested with a constraint on distance of the suppliers, to take orders faster from suppliers. Scenarios are formed to calculate supplier performance value. Under these scenarios, current case and results for the scenarios are compared. In addition, current capacities of suppliers are raised and compared with previous case.
