Özet (EN)
Aim: The aim of this study is to evaluate central auditory processing skills in individuals with treated sudden hearing loss. Material and Method: The study was conducted at Inonu University Turgut Ozal Medical Center Audiology Clinic with individuals aged between 18-55 who applied to the Ear, Nose and Throat Clinic with a diagnosis of sudden hearing loss and were treated and whose hearing returned to normal limits. Pure Tone Audiometry, Speech Audiometry, Acoustic İmmitancemetry, TEOAE measurement, MoCA, FPT, SPT, ZSKT and RGDT were applied to the individuals participating in the study. Results: No statistically significant difference was found between the study group and the control group with normal hearing in the applied FPT, SPT and ZSKT results. No significant difference was found in terms of FPT, SPT and ZSKT results in the affected and unaffected ears of ındividuals with treated sudden hearing loss. A statistically significant difference was found between the study and control groups in the results of RATET at 500, 1000, 2000 and 4000 Hz (p<0.01). No significant relationship was found between the age of the individuals and the FPT, SPT, ZSKT ve RATET results. No significant relationship was found between the time between hearing recovery and evaluation in the affected ear and the results of FPT, SPT, ZSKT ve RATET. Conclusion: In our study, it was observed that temporal resolution was impaired, temporal ordering ability and auditory performance in the presence of impaired acoustic stimuli were preserved in individuals with SHL whose hearing returned normal after treatment. Keywords: Auditory processing, Sudden hearing loss, Temporal resolution, Temporal sequencing
