Abstract (EN)
As a method, medical studies covering human health from all age groups continued in the Ottoman medical field without being divided into parts such as childhood, youth and old age. At this point, Tedbîrü'l-Mevlud came to the fore. Because, besides being seen as the first book written on pediatrics independently, the work attracted attention by mentioning the education of children. Tedbîrü'l-Mevlud, which was completed at the beginning of the 18th century, belongs to Physician Şa'bân Şifâ'î from Ayaş. Şifa'î wrote this work, complaining that it is not an independent book on children's health. Other works cover the field of general medicine. The fact that it is the first work on child health on its own has made Tedbîrü'l-Mevlud valuable. The copy of the work, located in Ankara University Faculty of Theology Library, number 36106, is the copy that is thought to have been written by Şa'bân Şifâ'î himself. The study was carried out on this copy. In the work, reproduction, pregnancy, the formation of the fetus, the precautions to be taken in pregnant women and newborn children, pediatric diseases and the education and upbringing of the child are discussed. The study consists of Introduction, Review, Vocabulary, Text, Appendices, Index and Conclusion. In the introduction, the life of Şa'bân Şifâ'î, his works and Tedbîrü'l-Mevlud are mentioned. In the review, the writing features of the text, phonetics and morphology were emphasized. In the Vocabulary section, the statistical ratio of the number of words in the text was examined; The names of plants, compounds (medicament), organs, animals, diseases, physicians, and vocabulary are given. In the text section, Tedbîrü'l-Mevlud has been transcribed, and the marginal parts of the text are included under the title of Appendices. TürkSözDiz 3.5 was used in the preparation of the index section. Finally, the study came to an end with the Conclusion section and the Bibliography section, which includes the sources used.
