Abstract (EN)

The person who examines the patient thoroughly and performs the diagnosis and treatment is called a physician. Medicine can be defined as the discipline that treats the soul and the body. In the works prepared in the field of medicine in the Ottoman period, diseases that affect all age groups are handled together, while the work titled Tedbîrü'l-Mevlûd is an independent work for children's health. This work of Şa'bân Şifâ'î is a first in terms of handling child health and education independently. In the work called Tedbîrü'l-Mevlud, sexual intercourse, pregnancy, the formation and development of the fetus, precautions to be taken to protect mother and child health, pediatric diseases and what kind of education the child should undergo are explained. The examined copy of the work titled Tedbîrü'l-Mevlud is registered in Ankara University Faculty of Theology Library with the archive number 36101. The study was carried out on the copy that was thought to be written by the author himself. In addition, a comparison was made with the copy registered with the archive number 344 in the Süleymaniye Manuscripts Library. This study consists of Introduction, Review, Vocabulary, Text, Appendices, Index and Conclusion. In the introduction, Şa'bân Şifâ'î's life, works and his work named Tedbîrü'l-Mevlud are mentioned. In the analysis section, the spelling, sound and shape features of the text were examined. In the Vocabulary section, the words and language data used in the text are discussed. In addition, plant, organ, disease, composition, physician names and the findings obtained in the vocabulary analysis are given. Afterwards, the work named Tedbîrü'l-Mevlud, which was transcribed, took place. The margin notes are given under the title of appendices. In the index section, the headline index prepared with the help of TürkSözDiz 3.5 software is included. The study was completed with the Conclusion section, which includes language elements and word statistics, and then the Bibliography, which includes the resources used in the analysis.
