Tefsîr-i Hilmî's method of tafsir

Ahmed Hilmî al-Qoghi is from Diyarbakır and created important works about madrasa education. One of them is his work that is called Tefsîr-i Hilmî. Tafsir is a work in which ishari and fiqh narrations are dominant. It is a short and concise a tafsir. Tafsir rarely gives detailed information about the subjects it deals with. Sometimes she preferred to go into the details of the subject in the verses of ahkam and to convey the provisions of the sects by way of comparison. It is seen that tafsir frequently dwells on the concepts and names in the Qur'an. In this study, which was carried out with the aim of revealing the tafsir method of Tafsîr-i Hilmî, his method of using the methods of riwaya (Mathur) and diraya (Ray) along with the ulum al-Qur'an was emphasized. In addition, the topics and sources referenced in this work, which is unique, were discussed, and the method adopted in ayats interpretation was carefully examined.
