The literature of kavâid in the science of tafsir and the comparison of Kâfiyecî and Sa'dî's works on kavâid

This study aims at introducing the kavâid in the science of tafsir. During the research, the conceptual field and the literature of the kavâid in the science of tafsir have been explained. In the conceptual field, similar and distinct aspects of the concepts have been indicated by giving necessary information about "the method of tafsir, the sciences of Quran and the kavaîd of tafsir". Relevant literature works on the subject have been analyzed with historical ranking. Some general evaluations have been made by providing short and complete information about the authors and their works. Of the kavaîd authors Kâfiyecî ve Sa'dî's lives, scientific personalities and works have been explained in the second part. In the third part, their works on kavâid in the science of tafsir have been studied in a comparative manner. During the comparative evaluation it has been specified the content of works, the purposes of writing, methods they follow, sources they use, their effects on kavaîd works and the contribution to the method of tafsir. This research based on analysis and comparison shows that although kavaîd works in the science of tafsir are similar on name, they differ in content. Although kavâid of tafsir are used as sub-branch of the method of tafsir in general, it has been understood as a result of the evaluation of the literature works that they have been used in the same sense occasionally.
