Centrifugal pumps are turbomachines which pressurize the fluid in a closed system. They have a suction that transfers fluid into the system and a one outlet generally or more than one outlets rarely that drain the fluid from the system. Special pumps consisting of two impellers and two bodies are available for situations where the fluid can be discharged from two different outlets at different times. In this study, a centrifugal pump with one impeller and body will be designed and the fluid can be discharged from two different outputs at different times and it will be employed in the lowest energy consumption and high efficiency. Various designs taken into consideration have been analyzed by using Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD). According to results of the analysis, the impeller and volute of the pump have been defined as geometrically parametric and the relations between the input, such as flow rate, and output data, such as efficiency and head, have been investigated. Thus, optimal pump designs based on the numerical analysis have been revealed. Some of the optimal pumps have been manufactured and tested by the test setup and test data and numerical analysis data have been compared. The relationships between the experimental and the numerical analysis data have been interpreted. As a result of these studies, the requirements for moving parts such as valve, spring, etc. in the pump system have been eliminated. A novel pump which can be rotated in two different directions of the impeller and can drain the fluid from two different outputs has been designed. Therefore, it is hoped that this study will not lead to different ideas by creating sample pumps.
