Abstract (EN)

In this thesis study, the roof systems in force; Required loads were applied according to Calculation Values of Loads to be Taken in Design of Structural Elements Regulation (TS-498), Turkey Building Earthquake Code (TBEC-2018) and other regulation principles. The modeled roof systems were analyzed using the Sap2000 computer program and designed according to the Principles of Design, Calculation and Construction of Steel Structure-2016 (PDCCSS). Internal force values and displacement results obtained in the analysis results were compared. It has been tried to reveal the economic construction system by comparing the steel element weights obtained with the most optimum solutions of the design result. In this study, 6 different system models and a total of 48 steel roof systems have 2 different climate zones, 2 different seismic properties, and 2 different soil properties, according to the current regulations and by providing the necessary minimum conditions (for example, according to the ductility level of the beams, lateral retention distances, seismic section controls, etc.) analysis and design were carried out. The results obtained were presented with the help of tables and graphs, and the results were interpreted by comparing them. In future studies; Studies can be carried out in which different climate, seismicity and soil characteristics are taken into account with different building systems, which cannot be considered in this study.
