Thesis) HATİCE GÖNÜL GAZİ UNIVERSITY INSTITUTE OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY September 2000 ABSTRACT In this study which is prepared for the aim of determining and analysing the problems encountered constructing the single storey-large span industrial buildings by reinforced concrete prefabricated skeleton systems, relevant problems were examined with many aspects. In the second chapter of the study, it had been tried to form a basis which was needed for other parts of the study by dealing with common concepts relevant with industrial buildings, development of industrial buildings with many aspects in general. In the third chapter, single storey industrial buildings were analysed by the viewpoint of system components. By this direction, structural and constructive elements, connections, structural system alternatives and structural system possibilities, which all are the parts of the total system, were examined. In this chapter, constructive elements which complete the system and considered to effect the problems to a considerable degree, were dealed with broadly.IV In the fourth chapter, in order to analyse the problems that encountered forming the system, the process was seperated to parts,. In addition, secondary problems that effect the process were dealed with in general, in the same chapter but under the different titles. In the fifth chapter, field study sample was put forward. In this chapter, in order to determine the problems relevant with common concepts and the field, it had been tried to attain the total by choosing and examining the samples for every firm. In this thesis, induction was used with research approach from part to total. In conclusions, by generalizing the problems, solution suggestions were put forward.
