Abstract (EN)

In this study, in order to determine the zooplankton fauna of Teke Stream, samples were taken at monthly intervals between january 2023 and december 2023 at 3 stations determined in Teke Stream. Additionally, physical and chemical parameters such as Water Temperature, pH and dissolved oxygen were measured for 12 months. Zooplankton samples were collected using a standard plankton net with a 55 μ mesh size. As a result of the research, a total of 38 species were identified. Of the identified species, 28 species are from the Rotifera group, 6 species from the Cladocera group and 4 species from the Copepoda group. When the average density of the detected groups is examined, Rotifera (123.723 individuals/m³) is the most abundant group with 78%, followed by Cladocera (18.054 individuals/m³) with 11% and Copepoda (16.461 individuals/m³) with 10%. When the seasonal distribution of zooplankton groups (Rotifera, Cladocera and Copepoda) detected in Teke Stream was examined, the highest number was found in the summer season (200.718 individuals/m³) and the lowest number was found in the autumn season (47.790 individuals/m³). According to the Shannon Weiner index analysis results, the highest species richness was in april at the 3rd station (H'=2.25), and the lowest index value was in january at the 1st station (H'=0.60).
