Abstract (EN)
It can be said that technology, which enters all areas of organisational life, affects a wide area from the way of working to the emotions of the employees. While the rapidly digitising business life helps employees do their jobs faster, it is also possible that they face various problems caused by the dark side of technology. Techno-stress, which is noticed in the late 20th century continues effects business life. Techno-stress is defined as high-level stress employees have while they are adapting to technologies obtained by organisation to benefit. Becoming estranged from their jobs is possible for employees those having difficulty adapting to technologies. This research is a quantitative study in the relational screening model that aims to determine the correlation between the techno-stress level and work alienation behaviour of teachers working in schools affiliated with Kırşehir National Education Directorate. In this scope, a data set was created with the answers received from 349 teachers included in the sample. The "Techno-Stress Scale" by Çoklar, Efilti, and Şahin (2017) and the "Teachers Alienation Scale" by Elma (2003) were used in the research. In addition, validity and reliability analyzes of these scales were made. The validity and reliability of scales used in the research have been analysed. Findings from the data set showed that there is a positive and intermediate correlation between techno-stress and work alienation. The highest correlation is between the socially focused dimension of techno-stress and the powerlessness dimension of work alienation. It is seen that the lowest correlation is in the technical subject-oriented dimension of techno-stress and the isolation dimension of work alienation.
