Abstract (EN)

Antiphospholipid antibody syndrome is a situation that courses as recurrent pregnancy loss and comes out frequently in general population. The most important way to detect individuals with antiphospholipid antibody syndrome is serology. For this reason detection of APA (antiphospholipid antibody) in blood of patients with complicated pregnancy, is the main step for the diagnosis of antiphospholipid antibody syndrome. In our study, serum samples of 120 pregnant women with recurrent abortus were investigated in aspect of anticardiolipin antibodies, antiß2-GPI (antibeta-2-glycoprotein I), anti-PS (antiphosphatidylserine), anti-annexin V, anti-prothrombin IgG, IgM, IgA by using ELISA (Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay) method. In addition VDRL (Veneral Disease Research Laboratory) syphylis test, ANA (Antinuclear antibody) and antiDNA parameters were also performed in patients? sera. The most increasing antibody type was anticardiolipin antibodies with ratio 75% in patients with positive result. Antiannexin V antibody with ratio 50.8%, antiprothrombin antibody with ratio 25%, antiß2-GPI with ratio 10% and antiPS antibody with ratio 3.3% were following it. Especially solely IgM type was found more higher than IgG or IgA antibodies from increasing antiphospholipid antibodies. In our study, associations of antiß2-GPI, antiprothrombin and antiannexin, which are phospholipid binding proteins, also were found. It was found that antiß2-GPI IgM and anticardiolipin antibodies IgM were together with ratio 10.7%, antiß2-GPI IgM and anticardiolipin antibodies IgM were together with ratio 3.9%, antiannexin V IgM and anti-PS were correlated with ratio 8.3%. Also 83.3% ANA positivity, 9.2% VDRL positivity was encountered in patients. But antiDNA positivity was not seen.According to these findings, the importance of investigating antiphospholipid antibodies in women with recurrent abortus for diagnosis of antiphospholipid antibody syndrome, is obvious. Early diagnosis and therapy, gives a chance to have babies in women with recurrent abortus.Recurrent pregnancy loss, also a distressituation for families, it is an important issue for phycians to be aware its unknown ethiology. In addition, it?s crucial because of its restricted diagnose and therapy. All this purpose, searching APA in serum is important for the diagnose of this entity. In conclusion, we are considering that for antiphospholipid antibody syndrome diagnose in womens with recurrent abortus, APA in serum samples must be tested in routinly.
