Abstract (EN)
There is a strong correlation between pregnancy and immune system. The main objective is to ensure and maintain a successful pregnancy involving selective immune tolerance, immunosuppression and immunomodulation in the presence of strong antimicrobial immunity. Recurrent miscarriage which is usually defined as three or more abortions and unsuccessful in vitro fertilization have the same characteristics. Immune disorders play a significant role in recurrent miscarriage and natural killer cell activity is one of the most important etiology related to this situation. Therapies with various theoretical principles and clinical data aiming to reduce excessive endometrial immune activity are successful in women with recurrent miscarriage. A significant increase was observed in the rate of live births following immunotherapy treatment of women with immunological risk factors. Furthermore, live birth enhancing property of iv intralipid emulsions with high nutritional value and phytoestrogenic effect due to the soybean oil in the formulation was also reported. In recent years there are some even though few studies with TGF-β1, the isoform of transforming growth factor-β, for recurrent miscarriage and in vitro fertilization treatment. In the context of this thesis, TGF-β1 protein and ejaculate loaded microemulsion formulations were studied and the results were comparatively evaluated with the placebo emulsion. Soybean and linseed oil were used as the oil phase of microemulsions due to the pyhtoestogenic effect.
