Abstract (EN)
Materials and methods: In this study women who admitt the Department of the Obstetrics and Gynecolgy of the Cukurova University School of Medicine between February 2006 and May 2008, are divided into two groups; the patient group was composed from women who had ? 2 unexplained miscarriages and control group was composed from women who had ? 2 alive babies and did not have any miscarriage. The study was conducted as case-control. Endometrial biopsies taken for evaluating endometrial CD56positive Natural Killer cells were obtained with Pipelle device, between the 21st and 24th day of the menstruel cycle. Tissues were stained with CD56 primary antibody after the preparation of the parafine blocks. They were evaluated with the light microscope under the x 400 magnification in 10 fields. Progesteron levels were measured from all women of the study and control group in the day of biopsie. Results: There were any statistically significant differences between the study and control group for the point of view of the age and gravidity. Endometrial tissue CD 56 positive Natural Killer cells numbers were less in the study group (p>0. 05).Conclusion: This study indicates that the number of uterin CD 56positive natural killer cells could not predict the etiology of the recurent miscarriageKey words: CD 56, Natural killer cell, recurent miscarriage.
