Abstract (EN)

When investigated the historical process of paper, it can be seen that paper had a wide scale of usage aim. Paper; come into prominence with its functional quality; by using it in daily life like cleaning, packaging etc. and especially for information transferring. So this caused paper to become a monotype industrial material against its being a natural and hand made product. The industrialization of paper has improved the producting methods which increase efficiency for the income. Paper is a material which used in nearly every branch of art but of course book arts at first. Yet what has seen is; it's used as a sense transfer material with line, shape, colour or pattern on it. There are a few examples which the material itself, is the artistic work or design. Designing the material itself, brings the requirement to know it closely. As it's experienced in this study, it is possible to say that broadening the frame of expression form and methods, can be possible by this way. With all these causes and an environmentalist precision, the methods of producting hand made paper is searched and in the paper clay which made of secondary fibers, mostly recycled fibers and waste textiles are used to make composites look like textile. With a systematic working order, prescriptions are prepared until the optimum result is achieved and the results and experiences are transformed into an artistic discourse. Paper making by hand which started with traditional methods; combined with the production forms of composites, the awareness of the possibilities that the material provided, the hand skills and the gained experiences; it is emphasized the possibilities of creating artistic expressions with a more up-to-date discourse, The production forms of this composites, also provided to comment paper formally and in this way, artistic works which are inspired of Ottoman talismanic shirts have done. So in an artistic meaning, ultimately all these things enabled to make designs with the sense within the body of the art work itself, not just transferring it as a paper. Keywords: paper, paper pulp, composite, textile fiber, recycling
