The analysis of textile art in the context of feminist art

The fact that textile artists are generally women is studied in terms of Textile Art and the relation between women and women identity is tried to be explained in terms of Feminist Art in this thesis titled as 'The Analysis of Textile Art in the Context of Feminist Art'. It is known that weaving is the basis of textile art with female labor force. Because male dominance governs even in the arts, it is important to study the Feminist Art in terms of worth of women artists and promote their status in art. When the historical period is studied, it is seen that women artists have a say in art with the effect of feminist movements. In this study; The importance of studying the works of textile artists consisting of mostly female artists with the name of Feminist Textile Art is emphasized.
