Abstract (EN)
In line with the developments in technology, new tools and environments are included in the production areas of the graphic design discipline and communication opportunities continue to expand. Today's innovations make graphic design an even more important discipline. Today, the innovations in the field of printing have enabled the graphic design discipline, which forms a product to express a thought or a feeling, to become an area that effectively uses textile surfaces. In the first part of the study, graphic design applications on textile surfaces which are the subject of the thesis are discussed in general. The concept of textile, innovations in graphic design and the place of textile surfaces in graphic design are briefly mentioned. The aim of the research is explained by determining what will be done according to its importance and boundaries. In the second part of the thesis, the textile area, which has become one of the application surfaces of the discipline of graphic design, has been discussed in general. First of all, the definition of textiles, textile surfaces and the process of the formation of these surfaces are briefly mentioned. Materials and techniques used in the formation of textile surfaces are presented together with the samples and the textile products and their usage areas are explained. In the third chapter, graphic design principles and elements are explained with examples. Some of the visual forms of visual design within the discipline of graphic design have been examined together with the illustrations of graphic design applications on photographic and typographic textile surfaces. In the fourth part of the study, information about Scandinavian countries, Scandinavian design and history is given. In addition, the relationship between Scandinavian design and graphic design is explained. In line with this information, graphic design applications are applied on textile surfaces for Scandinavian-style interiors. Sample applications have been made according to the data obtained in the research.
