Abstract (EN)

The entrance of new operators into the monopoly market performs thestructure of oligopoly market. The most important specification ofoligopoly market is the effect of operators? strategies to others. Theseinteractivities enable game theoric approaches to be implemented. Inthis thesis, some of the models used in oligopoly markets areexamined. Cartel and Cournot solution methods are implemented intelecommunications sector, in the subject of local loop unbundling.Traditional Cournot and Cartel methods are expressed by integer linearprogramming and goal programming models and by this way applicableresults have been obtained. In case of determining the productionvolume by Cartel or Cournot methods in bit stream access concept inlocal loop unbundling, the methods to be considered by the regulatoryauthority in order to maximise the social welfare level have beenexamined in a sample case in the context of game theory approach. It isseen that the system and methodologies used in the sample, provideflexibility to decision makers and produce more applicable results.
