Copyright transfering

Nowadays, with advancement of technology, intellectual property law has become one of the most important law branch. Due to the cognitive ability that seperates human from other beings, author's all the rights on the work constitutes copyright as a consequence of intellectual effort and hard work. Copyright is involved in scope of Intellectual Property Law. Author's rights and licence on intellectual and artistic works derived from copyright are protected by Law on İntellectual and Artistic Works numbered 5846. Copyright is a sole right that contains some economic and moral rights. Authors may assign the economic rights on a work partially or completely to third parties. But, moral rights are derived from the relationship between the work and the personality of the author so that these rights are impossible to be assigned to third parties. Transfer of copyright's subject constitutes only economic rights. Because of the subject of our thesis is copyright transfering, primarily copyright concept, copyright in our law branch, according to the Copyright Law of Turkey, what are works and types of works with economic and moral rights types are explained briefly in thesis. In the continuation of our thesis; copyright transfering, transfering about contract and legal transactions and transfering form are examined. At the end of our study dwelled on copyright transfering compare with other right transfering and effects of transfer.
