Abstract (EN)

The aim of this study 14/03/2014 dated and numbered 6528 Law on National Education Basic Law and Certain Laws and Decree in accordance with the Law on Amendments In basic education institutions starting a new mission and mandate extended to show the level of managers' leadership skills based on the perceptions of teachers is analyzed in terms of different variables. Research, in the district of Gaziantep Şahinbey 807 teachers from 32 primary schools and 8 secondary schools participated. The data, was collected using Effective Leadership Qualities Scale (ELNÖ), which was developed in 2010 by Turan. While analyzing the data,as the results of Levene tests, parametric and nonparametric tests performed and relationships between variables were evaluated The results of the analyzes, when we look at the overall scale, teachers think that school principals exhibit the leadership roles "sometimes". When we look at the results of gender, age, graduation status, seniority, study at the same school variables significant differences observed in overall scale and some subscales but there was no significant difference in branch variable. Respect to working time with the principal variable, teachers' perceptions of principals who start to the task new are more negative than teachers' perceptions of principals who term of task extended.
