Abstract (EN)
Tests and items that are used in education are expected not to show different features in terms of responds from individuals who are at the same ability level but from different groups. So in this research, it is aimed to indicate whether Turkish, math, science and technology and Turkish Republic History and Atatürk's courses show any difference due to the gender of the individuals or not, in TEOG examination. The research is modeled in descriptive model, as it is aimed to describe a situation as it exists. The research includes all the students in TEOG examination in November in 2014. The sample of the research consists of 40000 students that were chosen by random sample method and %52,14 percentage of the samples consist of boys and %47,86 percentage consist of girls. It was determined whether the items contains Differential Item Function (DIF) or not, by Rasch model and through Winstep package programme. Before the determining DIF identification, it was examined that whether all these courses. Turkish, Math, Turkish Republic History and Atatürk's and Science and Technology, provide the normal distribution, one dimensionality and local independency or not, in order that the analyze processes can fulfill the requirements of Rasch model. In the analysis for he subtests, no contrast value, that is suitable fort he DIF, could be found. In other words, it couldn't be found any item that shows any different function in terms of gender in subtests. According to the applied analysis, the items that are applied in TEOG in November in 2014 show no bias in terms of gender. This result shows us that there isn't any item that works fort he behalf of or to the detirment of students from different gender groups.
