Abstract (EN)
To have a command of principal elements of art is primary duty of all artists. A lot of research about elements of plastic and visual arts are made. Ceramic, one of the plastic arts is mostly researched about technics. Ceramic, technically rich art is paid attention on shape, decor, glaze and firing; but surface design and form are usually forgotten. These elements commonly emphasized on fundamental lessons but they are not related to professional lessons. As a plastic material, which is easily found in nature, ceramic clay is more suitable to adapt principal elements. This research is made to identify principal elements of art, to control them and to transfer them in the ceramic. In this context, ceramic product will not be determined only as decorative. In this three section research, principal elements of art are examined in usage for ceramic surface and form, in examples which are determined by technics and presented in applications. The aim of this research is, to increase design quality for who are working on ceramics, to examine how important is the fundamental art education to accummulate knowledge for ceramic artist candidates.
