Abstract (EN)

In the XIX. century, the temettuat tax holds a very important place in the Ottoman taxation system. With the application of the temettuat tax there emerged an opportunity of taking high and fair tax from the people and also it lead the local authorities to keep the recordings of the reflections of the Tanzimat innovations. By the help of these recordings we could learn about the economical situations of the places and the social structure of the folks. In this paper, according to this tax taken during XIX. century, the District of Opar and Naslic which was bound to Kesriye to Greece between 1844 and 1845 was examined. Related to the District of Kesriye, there search aimed to get detailed information about social and economic life such as the population of the district, the structure of production, the quality of agricultural corporations, source of income, agricultural fertility, and taxes using the notebooks numbered 11446 and 11458 that are found in Prime Ministry Ottoman Record Office. By this thesis, that revealed the social economic structure of Opar and Naslic County, one of the pieces of the map has been enlightened where Tanzimat rules are enforced.
