Traditional and extended playing techniques on tenor trombone: Examples from selected works written after 1950

This thesis, which was prepared in the field of traditional and extended playing techniques on tenor trombone, consists of two parts. In the first chapter, playing techniques are introduced and historical information about the techniques and playing/study suggestions are presented. The representations of playing techniques in notation are emphasized. In the second part, playing techniques in selected works composed after 1950 are determined and explained. Throughout the thesis, the explanation was supported with visuals and figures.
