Productivity analysis of Tavşanlı agriculture with theories and practise

For the last decades, the developments acknowledged in the field of information and communication in all around the world and Turkey have influenced the agricultural sector like some of the other sectors. The technological developments in the agricultural sector have enhanced both the productivity and quality in the agricultural production. Depending upon the productivity enhancement being in question, some kind of specialization has been achieved in the agricultural sector well then. The agricultural sector has been an indispensable component of the social life not only in developed countries but also in developing countries. In other words, since the agricultural products are the principal needs for the public, they are strategically crucial to the world's economy. For this reason, most of the countries in the world have been trying to be self-sufficient by increasing the productivity and quality of the agricultural products. Furthermore, there can't be a country having no agricultural activities while the scientific and technological developments have been progressing pretty fast for the last few years. Because of the fact that the agricultural sector is one of the most delicate sectors for the countries, it is in need of government's financial supports. The agricultural sector in all the countries including some of the developed countries such as USA, EU Countries and Japan has been supported financially by the Intervention Policy of such countries. This study has been prepared in three parts by considering the above explanations. In the first part with the highest priority, the agricultural sector has been studied theoretically by emphasizing the importance of the concept of agricultural productivity. Moreover, the contributions of the agricultural development to the economic development have been mentioned. In the second part of the study, the agricultural policies being carried out in the world and Turkey have been clarified by taking the technological developments into consideration and the importance of financial agricultural supports given by the government has been emphasized. In the last part, the application stage, the productivity analysis of the Agriculture of Tavşanlı has been evaluated by using the statistical data in accordance with the agricultural policies carried out in the agricultural sector of Tavşanlı and some suggestions have been constructed so as to increase the productivity of the Agriculture of Tavşanlı by utilizing the obtained data from the analysis.
