Effects of maintenance management system on energy efficiency in thermal power plants

Human and life, life and energy , energy and electricity all of them completes each other and each of them realizing with their relations. Rate of growth and development of the countries with the consumption of electrical energy and power capacity installed by 2011 as defined in today's world our country's energy needs are increasing day by day. Developing country with a need for an annual increase in electricity production since the 1990s, this rate environment, while the EU average of 4.6%, Turkey?s average 1.6% even surpassed. In this context, the methods used to produce energy production and increasing productivity has been inevitable. Maintenance and operation, big truth for power plants as directing in good management and generating reliabe and qualify electricity. Also, maintenance or other improvements made in the improvement in business ultimately forcing the central and thus contribute to the improvement for the total electricity production of an effective and efficient manner by ensuring the availability of effective resources that are already provided at. In this thesis, it is investigated how to improve maintenance activities for Seyitömer Thermal Power Plant and It was concluded that a maintenance management system should be established. Maintenance management system components are subsequently examined the historical development of maintenance management systems and the target plant installation phases are described. Applications need to be working on the central facts of the methodology and assumptions made world and how much help increase the efficiency of energy are expressed through the established system.Key Words : Maintenance management system, power plant
