In this thesis, a new computerized data acquisition and test system (TEG?PAS) communicating with programmable logic controller (PLC) for investigation of electrical, thermoelectric and heat parameters of thermoelectric generator (TEG) has been carried out. To employ the thermoelectric module (TEM) as TEG by Matlab/Simulink simulation program, the simulation of TEG mathematical model has been performed. These results have been compared to the prototype TEG results obtained from the TEG?PAS for different temperatures ranges. According to the results of simulation and prototyping, a new commercial portative TEG trying on the TEG?PAS has been established. All parameters of the TEG have been analysed by the TEG?PAS. Also, the new commercial TEG has been compared to a commercial solar panel (PV) in terms of the energy production and the occupied area and the TEG has occupied nine times less space than PV.
