?Sabanci center assassination and Fehriye Erdal" a sample for terorist organization's propaganda activities through media

ABSTRACTOn 19.01.1999 in İstanbul, an illegal left wing organization (DHKP/C) conducted an armed attack to the one of the leading businessman in Turkey, Özdemir SABANCI and his 2 employees and by this study, it is analysed the reflection of this attack on media.One interesting aspect of this attack is after one year from the attack one of the perpatrator?s escaping from DHKP/C and surrending to Turkish security forces in Syria, another is capturing the other in Belgium incidentally, in 1999. Especially Turkish Media showed an interest to Fehriye ERDAL who was captured in Belgium.In this study, it is tried to explain with scientific methods, the causes of why media brings Fehriye ERDAL in the foreground from the other offensives.
