Abstract (EN)
Today, marketing is not just a discipline that involves activities in commercial matters. The changing world and consumer profile has led to the idea that marketing can also be used to solve social issues. This understanding, which is called social marketing, also manifests itself in social, health, education, employment, investment, development, poverty, unemployment and technology. Today, social marketing campaigns aim to inform the public about a social problem, raise awareness and mobilize. Social marketing activities, which contain effective practices in the field of health and fight against poverty, are mainly used in the prevention of terrorism, which is one of the fundamental problems of the society, and in the destruction of terrorism. In order to understand the importance of marketing approach to the fight against terrorism, social marketing with the theme of terror and how these practices are perceived by the society constitute the subject of this study. The projects developed on the solution of the problems stemming from terrorism are important in preventing terrorism. Collaboration of the public, non-governmental organizations, central and local governments, private sector and other countries is important in the realization of these projects. In this sense, social marketing comes into play in identifying the problems that stem from terrorism, developing and implementing solutions. In this study, it is aimed to contribute to the development of more effective social marketing applications by trying to measure the effectiveness, attitude and security perceptions of terror themed social marketing applications by considering the examples of terror themed social marketing. In the first part of the study, the conceptual dimension of terrorism and the present situation are explained. In the research section, a questionnaire was developed by developing a scale that measures the effectiveness of social marketing applications with the theme of terrorism and the effects of these practices on attitudes and security perceptions. The data obtained from the survey conducted in central districts of Bingöl province were interpreted scientifically. As a result of the data, it was tried to put forward the place and importance of terror marketing in the fight against terrorism. As a result of the survey conducted with 420 participants, a significant relationship was found between attitude towards social marketing with the theme of fighting against terrorism. There is also a meaningful relationship between these applications and security perceptions. The 420 surveys conducted in Bingöl's central neighborhoods concluded that the social marketing practices with the theme of terror were effective in solving the terror problem, and that these activities enabled public cohesion and made a positive change in the security perceptions of the public. As a result of this data, the importance and place of terror marketing in the fight against terrorism has been reinforced. Key Words: Social marketing, terror, security, attitude,
